Wafaa is originally from Lebanon and now lives in Wiltshire with her family. She shares her passion for Lebanese cuisine and dancing through her business Dancing Flavours, creating wonderful food and dancing events across the southwest.
I met Wafaa through a local networking event and she asked me to photograph the preparations for an event this summer. I’m a bit of a foodie so jumped at the opportunity! Wafaa was keen to capture the light and fresh style of Lebanese food and the vibrant colours we all associate with the Mediterranean region.
We created a series of images in Wafaa’s personal branding photo session including Wafaa preparing the food and some of the finished dishes. The scene was created with a backdrop of Lebanese fabrics, ceramics and her colourful spring garden. I even got to sample a wonderful Lebanese lunch afterwards!

I had lots of fun when Nick took photos of me preparing my Lebanese recipes, some in the kitchen and some in the garden. He made me feel so relaxed and I was impressed by his ability to make the photos and the whole experience so natural and real. It was such an enjoyable experience. Wafaa.
