A montage of three storytelling images from an art cooperative in Bath

Case Study – Storytelling photography with The Art Cohort

A great opportunity to photograph Kat Dawe Schmeisser, director at The Art Cohort in Bath came up. The Art Cohort were planning a feature with a local magazine. To support the feature Kat was looking for a set of storytelling photographs showcasing the gallery and their work with the local community.

The gallery based on Chelsea Road in Bath is a bright and welcoming space and a hub of activity. From locals popping in to buy gifts, children’s creative activities and local artists showcasing their work, there’s always something going on. It’s an inclusive space that’s constantly changing with new art and a program of community events for the whole family.

Approaching the photographic brief

We had a clear brief for the magazine article. An engaging headshot photo of Kat, along with images of the space, the artwork and activities.

During a storytelling photo session there’s an opportunity to create a series of images that can be used for social media, on the website and print and digital campaigns throughout the year. Working with you to define the brief we’ll create a series of images to connect with your target audience.
