The New Foscote Hospital, part of Akessa Healthcare Group, is a high-end private hospital in Banbury, Oxfordshire, offering a broad range of medical services within a calm, boutique environment. Combining advanced clinical care with a highly personalised patient experience, the hospital places equal emphasis on exceptional facilities and the people who deliver that care.
The New Foscote Hospital’s Brief
As part of an ongoing website and marketing refresh, The New Foscote Hospital wanted to create an up-to-date image library that showcased its facilities, services and clinical capabilities.
The project extended far beyond photographing equipment and interiors. A key objective was to communicate the experience of receiving care at the hospital through authentic photography of real staff working within real environments.
The photography needed to feel natural and believable, using genuine interactions and environments to communicate the calm, personalised care that patients experience throughout their journey. The aim was to create a bespoke image library that allowed prospective patients to connect with the hospital’s people, spaces and culture while accurately reflecting the organisation today.
Our Approach
Following detailed planning discussions with Marketing Manager James Marshall and the wider team, the photography schedule was carefully designed to capture a broad cross-section of hospital life within a single full-day shoot.
Working across a range of clinical, patient and administrative environments, the focus was on creating authentic moments that reflected the breadth of services and experiences that make up life at The New Foscote Hospital, from arrival and consultation through to treatment, rehabilitation and the wider support functions that underpin patient care.
Rather than heavily staging scenes, the approach centred on observing and lightly directing genuine interactions between clinicians, nurses, support teams and patients, creating a natural, documentary feel while ensuring the images remained commercially useful across a wide range of applications.
The day also provided an opportunity to refresh the senior leadership team’s headshots. Through careful planning, key team members were available on site at the same time, allowing us to create a consistent set of leadership portraits that presented the team as a cohesive group and reflected the organisation as it is today.
The Results
The final photography collection provides The New Foscote Hospital with a versatile and future-proof image library for its website, service pages, recruitment materials and wider marketing communications.
The photography presents an up-to-date picture of the hospital, combining its premium facilities and clinical expertise with the calm, personalised experience that patients value when choosing private healthcare.
