Hello, I’m Nick and I’m a documentary wedding photographer.  I’ll be there to photograph your wedding in a relaxed story-telling style, so you can enjoy the day, without the pressure of having to pose for lots of photos.

You won’t see me interrupting the flow – I’ll photograph discretely, always looking for the moments and the interactions between you and your guests.

When you look back at your photos in years to come, it’s often the little things that feel special. The warm displays of affection, the generations coming together and the children caught up in the excitement of the day.

Being asked to photograph a wedding is an incredible privilege. It’s one of the most important days in your life and I’ll help you create a set of images that remind you what it was like to be there.

How it works

Getting to know you

I think it’s really important to get to know you beforehand – we’ll set up a planning session and if you’re local we could meet up for a drink. If you’re further afield we could have a chat on the phone, Facetime or Skype – whatever you prefer.

Have you considered a pre-wedding photo session? If you haven’t been photographed before and you feel a little apprehensive, it’s the perfect way to help you feel relaxed in front of the camera. You’ll get some great photos of the two of you in a location that’s special to you.

The wedding day

The planning is over and now it’s time to enjoy the celebrations. I’ll capture the day as it happens, fitting in quietly in the background, always looking for the candid moments, the emotion and the humour.

I’ll focus on capturing photos that tell the story of your day, without all the awkward posing. If you ask for a particular photograph I’ll happily oblige, guiding everyone so we capture the shot quickly.  We’ll catch up briefly throughout the day to make sure everything is running to plan, but other than that, I’ll leave you to enjoy yourselves.

Viewing and using your photos

I’ll carefully select and edit your best images and you’ll receive your photographs within four weeks of your wedding. You’ll have access to a private gallery – where you’ll be able to view a slideshow, select your favourites and share your gallery with family and friends.

All of your digital images are supplied with full printing rights and prepared ready for print and sharing on social media.

Displaying your photos

Choosing how to display your photos is the final stage and the really fun bit. This is where you might select your favourites and consider how you’d like to personalise them and present them in your home, or as a gift. Unlike digital images, a print is chosen a little more consciously.

You can choose the shot, the paper, the mount, the frame and so on to work in a particular place for particular reasons. Choose from a range of prints or maybe an album to display your favourite photos from the day.  I work with Folio albums and I’ll personally design  your fine art album with you.

Every wedding is different so I’m happy to create a bespoke package for you. Choose from the whole day or a package based on the time you need.
