Getting ready
When we first meet, I’ll want to get to know you a little and find out what you enjoy when you spend time together. So, to begin with, it would be great to have a chat, over a cuppa perhaps. We’ll share some questions which will help me work out what you’re looking for.
Taking time to find a great location for the shoot is important. Do you search for open spaces, the energy of the city, the intimacy of home… or perhaps something different entirely. We’ll also explore who you’d like to include in your photo session. Your immediate family, or maybe you want parents, friends and more.
I’ll also send over a copy of my product list with all the printed products and packages to help you consider how you’d like to display your photos.
Your photo session
During the photo sessions, my approach is always about encouraging everyone to be relaxed and capturing moments as they happen. If there are young children involved I’ll get down to their level to try to capture their expressiveness and imagination. I’ll also want to pull back to capture moments from afar. I always aim to be easy company and I’ll encourage you all to get involved.
Viewing your photos
I’ll select and carefully edit your best images (about 40-50) within two weeks of your photo session. You’ll have access to a private client portal, here you’ll be able to view a slideshow, select your favourite photos and share your gallery with family and friends.
Displaying your photos
Choosing how to display your photos is the final stage and the really fun bit. This is where you might select your favourites and consider how you’d like to personalise them and present them in your home, or as a gift. Unlike digital images, a print is chosen a little more consciously. This can be a fun part where we can choose the shot, the paper, the mount, the frame and so on to work in a particular place for particular reasons.
And with the photos you don’t print, you can still purchase the full set of digitals or choose a great value package that includes all of your digital images and selected prints.
There’s plenty of other options to choose from too, including
- Hand crafted Folio fine art albums with a range of bespoke covers and finishes
- Single or multi framed prints, available in different sizes
- Gallery-style framed prints
- Canvas prints
